Reflectivity and glare
The material used to make the front of a CRT and LCD monitor is also quite different. A CRT monitor is made of glass and is usually treated with a method that reduces reflection. LCDs use plastics that require much less anti-reflective treatment. Therefore, anti-reflective treatments on a CRT monitor reduce image quality more – reduced reflectivity always results in a less sharp image.
