HDCP

(High-Bandwidth Digital Contents Protection). A digital signal encoding system to protect against copying of digital content such as video, music, etc. The transmission of digital content is protected by encoding the content on the transmitter side, transmitting it via the DVI output, and decoding it again on the receiver side. Digital content cannot be reproduced unless the HDCP function is supported on both the transmitter and receiver sides.
