Viewing angle / viewing angle / visibility angle

The viewing angle indicates the angle at which a contrast ratio of more than 10:1 is achieved. This is usually between 160° and 178°. These values do not indicate what extraordinary contrast differences can be achieved within the viewing angle. For the user, there should be no noticeable contrast changes between perpendicular and slightly oblique viewing angles. There should be no differences between the observer's view of the center and the edge of the image. The stability of the contrast of different LCD technologies becomes more apparent when using a measurement diagram or by direct visual comparison. The more stable the contrasts are in the observer's cone of vision, the better the image reproduction.
