LED backlight

White LED backlighting uses half the power of CCFL backlighting for the same brightness. This means extremely energy-efficient operation and a significant reduction in energy costs. Another advantage: Unlike fluorescent tubes, LEDs do not contain any toxic mercury that is harmful to the environment.
